PARTNERSHIPS
We’ve established some invaluable charitable partnerships with local businesses and organisations in the Nottingham area.
We’d like to say an enormous ‘thank you’ to everyone who’s helped our museum in the past, or is still helping us now. Without your support, we wouldn’t be where we are today!

Nottingham Brewery
The museum has been Nottingham Brewery’s charitable partner since late 2015. At this time, the brewery had just opened two new pubs, The Ned Ludd in Nottingham city centre and The Frame Breakers in Ruddington, so you can see the connection straightaway!
We work with Nottingham Brewery on a range of activities, including the creation of the museum’s very own real ale, Frame Breaker, which was brewed to celebrate our 45th anniversary in 2016.
Why not visit The Frame Breakers on High Street to try a tipple, as 20p from every pint sold will be donated to the museum?
Other Charitable Partnerships
Over the years, the museum has benefited enormously from the generosity of countless individuals and businesses that have provided their services free of charge.
These include:
● Simon Ford Media (photography)
● Ryan Brucass (photography)
● Geoff Bennett (drone photography)
● Jim Crane (architectural / building services)
● Graham Shuttleworth (property management)
● The Country Cottage Hotel (room hire) - pictured
● Æsop Mīzen Band (musical event management)

My sister and I loved this museum. Especially the guided tours explaining how the machines work and the working and living conditions of the frame knitters at the time. Even got the chance to take a look at Queen Victoria’s stockings in the former methodist church across the cottages. Excellent museum! Very entertaining and interesting! Lovely to see such a local and ordinary history preserved
Excellent Museum!
Second visit to this fascinating museum, a veritable storehouse of social history, staffed by knowledgeable, enthusiastic folk. Some steps may prove difficult for the elderly or infirm but there’s plenty to appreciate at ground level.
