On Tuesday 14th January 2020 from 6:30 to 7:30pm, local mindfulness teacher Jakki Pritchard will be hosting a free mindfulness taster session in the Chapel at the Framework Knitters Museum. (Note that the main museum site will be closed.)
The free taster session will run ahead of the 8-week mindfulness course, which has proven very popular in the village and introduced many local people to mindfulness to help them better manage their health and well-being.
Mindfulness is a calm, simple and down to earth practice that leads to authentic happiness and peace. It is an undoing from the grip of excessive stress and self-criticism towards much greater self-compassion freeing us from anxiety, worry or low mood.
Previous participants of the Ruddington course have stated: “I have really enjoyed the course; it has given me self-awareness and the ability to deal with stressful situations in a new and different way…Over the 8 weeks I have felt a big improvement in my state of mind. Now I deal with situations in a much calmer way, whilst also being kind to myself”.
