The Chapel Art Gallery at the Framework Knitters Museum is an exciting exhibition space which features the best in locally-produced art, crafts and culture

Chapel Art Gallery
Our regular exhibitions feature artworks from our partners, the Nottingham Society of Artists, as well as local art and craft groups, schools and colleges.
We exhibit a variety of artworks showcasing different styles, media and subject matter. The artworks displayed are often for sale, so please ask a member of staff if you’re interested in buying an exhibit.
Recent cultural exhibitions have included a display of written and visual works about the Holocaust. These were produced by students at Rushcliffe School in West Bridgford after an emotional visit to Auschwitz.
Please visit our Events page for details of our current and forthcoming exhibitions. If you’re interested in displaying your work in the Chapel Art Gallery, please get in touch.
The Chapel Art Gallery
The Chapel Art Gallery is open during the museum’s normal opening times.
Occasionally, a special event or booking will mean that the Gallery is closed, so please contact us in advance if you’re planning to make a special trip.
Admission to the Chapel Art Gallery is free.
You can also visit our Textile Emporium and Tea Room on the main museum site free of charge.
However, normal admission fees do apply to the museum itself.

Second visit to this fascinating museum, a veritable storehouse of social history, staffed by knowledgeable, enthusiastic folk. Some steps may prove difficult for the elderly or infirm but there’s plenty to appreciate at ground level.
Living History
My sister and I loved this museum. Especially the guided tours explaining how the machines work and the working and living conditions of the frame knitters at the time. Even got the chance to take a look at Queen Victoria’s stockings in the former methodist church across the cottages. Excellent museum! Very entertaining and interesting
